Please refer to the "Information on the Use of UV Disinfection Lamps" produced by the Bureau of Standards and Inspection, Ministry of Economic Affairs.

In response to the COVID-19 epidemic, the following points should be noted when using UV disinfection (germicidal) lamps.
(1) Read the product manual carefully before use and use the product according to the requirements of the manual.
(2) Avoid direct eye contact with the UV lamp or direct skin irradiation.
(3) If the product is equipped with UV protective glasses, check whether the glasses are intact and worn correctly before use.
(4) The product should be used when there are no people or animals/plants. Leave the disinfection area quickly after the light is turned on to avoid UV radiation; and set the timer function and enter the disinfection area only after the timer is turned off.
(5) For hand-held UV disinfection lamps (rods), do not irradiate human skin and eye areas during use.
(6) Avoid use by children or those who cannot understand the correct use.
(7) Do not use as a mosquito trap or general lighting.
(8) If the lamp used in the UV disinfection (sterilization) lamp is a low-pressure mercury lamp (from the appearance of the lamp similar to daylight, but the glass tube is transparent) and is not labeled "ozone-free", the disinfection is completed after ventilation for at least 30 minutes before entering.
(9) If there is any doubt about the use of the lamp, please call the toll-free service number of the Bureau of Standards and Inspection, Ministry of Economic Affairs: 0800-007-123 for inquiries.
