[Corrigendum] Precautions for confirmed COVID-19 patients and close contacts

Thank you for your hard work during the outbreak! The Health and Safety Team has recently received many enquiries from students and staff regarding the status of confirmed and confirmed cases. We have compiled a list of instructions for "Confirmed on-campus students and faculty", "Close contacts of confirmed on-campus students and faculty", and "Close contacts of confirmed off-campus students and faculty", so please follow them together to protect each other and minimize the risk of infection.

I. [Confirmed contacts of on-campus students and teachers

Please report to the Health Protection Unit as soon as possible if you are diagnosed, and refer to Annex 1: Notes for confirmed COVID-19 cases for home isolation and rapid screening. (10+7 days, return to school on day 11 after negative screening)

II. [Close contacts of confirmed students and teachers in the school]

This means that you are a close contact of a student or teacher who has been diagnosed.

Please report to the Health Protection Unit as soon as possible, and refer to Annex 2: You must first cooperate with the home isolation notification form to ensure home isolation and rapid screening. (3+4 days, you may return to school on the 8th day if the rapid screening is negative, and for residential students, you must stay in the dormitory for 7 days)

III. [Close contacts of the diagnosed person outside the school]

You are a close contact of a person who has been diagnosed by a family member, friend or colleague of yours at .......

Please remind the diagnosed person to refer to the icon in Annex 3 for the "Self-reporting system for confirmed cases", and the health unit will inform you whether you have been confirmed. Once you have received the notification, please report to the Health Protection Unit as soon as possible and follow the instructions of the Health Unit for home isolation and rapid screening.

 

For leave of absence, please contact the Student Support Team for the Day Department and the Academic Affairs Team for the Further Education Department.

For online courses or make-up classes, [Day Department], please contact the Classroom Services Team; [Further Education Department], please contact the Academic Affairs Team.

Quick screening reagents: [Close contacts of full-time teachers and students with confirmed diagnosis on campus] Please collect a total of three from the departmental office/unit; [Close contacts of those with confirmed diagnosis off campus] Please collect from the health unit.

Please report to the Health Protection Unit at the first sign of a confirmed diagnosis or a confirmed contact from an off-campus student or faculty member, and make sure to refer to the attached instructions for home isolation, rapid screening and self-management.

The list of confirmed patients and close contacts will be notified by the Health and Welfare Team -> Departmental Offices.

The list of confirmed cases and close contacts will be sent to the Health Protection Team -> Classroom Services Team (to collate the students' individual class schedules and lecturers) -> Department Office -> Notify the lecturers.
